FinchFile browser extension

What this extension does

FinchFile stamps news claims Real / No Proof / Depends. The extension looks up the article you are reading on finchfile.com, or sends that page URL to the desk to create a stamp.

Data we collect

• The URL of the active tab when you open the extension, when a page finishes loading (for the toolbar badge), or when you choose to stamp the page.
• That URL is sent only to https://finchfile.com (`/api/lookup`, `/api/extension/stamp`).

We do not collect your name, email, passwords, payment info, location, or a full browsing history from the extension. We do not sell extension data.

Permissions

• activeTab — read the current tab URL when you use the extension.
• https://finchfile.com/* — call FinchFile APIs over HTTPS. No other hosts.

The extension does not execute remote JavaScript. All code ships in the package; API responses are JSON only.
