Why it exists
I was tired of doing the legwork alone.
I got tired of reading the news, watching it, scrolling past it on social media — and then having to go do my own digging to see if any of it was real. That work shouldn't sit on you every time a headline hits.
So I built FinchFile: a verification layer for the news you read. We don't ask you to trust us. We show you the evidence. Real means the claim passed our evidence test — not that FinchFile is an authority on truth.
AI agents check every claim against the public record, ranked by hierarchy (court records over trade press over anonymous posts). A human reviews a portion of verdicts, and reviews any verdict a reader disputes. Verdicts that have had human review carry a Human reviewed badge. . Corrections policy.
