Use Amazon’s 30, 90, and 365 day price history (and a calm checklist) so a big % off badge does not fool you.

A Lightning Deal badge is not proof you are getting a yearly low. Amazon now shows price history on many product pages for 30, 90, and up to 365 days. Use it.
This guide is about how to verify a deal. It is not a third-party price chart app.
Where to find price history
On many U.S. product pages, look for a price history control near the buy box or ask Alexa for Shopping about the price history if that feature is on your account.
Desktop and the app can surface the entry point differently. If you do not see it on your phone, open the same product on desktop before you assume it is missing.
What to look for
Is today’s price near the recent low, or only low versus an inflated list price?
Did the price dip lower last month? If yes, waiting may be smarter unless you need the item now.
During Prime Day or Big Deal Days, compare the event price to the last 90 days, not only to the strikethrough number.
Cross-check in 60 seconds
Search the exact model at another major retailer you trust. Shoppers often compare Amazon with Walmart, Target, and club stores during big events.
Match condition: new vs open-box, same color and size, same seller reliability.
